A pleasant way to spend a Sunday

A Farmers Market now visits the parking lot next to Barracks 19 every Sunday from 9:30am – 2:30pm. The Point Loma Certified Farmers Market arrived like a gift on December 13.

There is live music, fresh produce, flowers, food vendors, artisans and Bravo School of Art. Nancy and I thought that, although we have a comfortable classroom inside the building at the end of the parking lot, it might be fun to participate in this festa. Every week. Our goal to have more students is met when we make ourselves more visible by having a booth every week. We distribute Bravo School of Art workshop brochures, speak with people, share our idea and while we make some art. Sign our mailing list. Register for a workshop. Ask some questions.

Nancy painted canvases. A landscape, a still life, a pet portrait. Her Still Life Drawing and Painting Workshop is a good one for beginners or someone who wants to sharpen their skills. I painted a pair of canvas sneakers. My fun workshop called Paint Your Chucks gives students an opportunity to decorate their shoes and make a personal statement with acrylic paint. It sure does draw interest from the children. Although it is an adult workshop, I think it would be perfect for kids, too.

Stop on by and visit us next Sunday and the parking lot next to Barracks 19 in the NTC Promenade at Liberty Station. 2690 Historic Decatur Rd, San Diego, CA 92106. Bring your friends!
