In this half-day workshop, make holiday greeting cards using printmaking, stamping, stenciling and transfer techniques. Use water-based inks and fine art paper to make one-of-a-kind cards to send to friends and family. This workshop is an excellent introduction to printmaking and after the class you will be able to make cards anytime at home. Materials list provided upon registration.

Stars, trees, bells, birds, angels, oh my!  These are just a few possibilities for the holiday ornament you’ll make in this workshop out of .010 thin-gauge copper or brass sheet and thin gauges of wire. Learn to cut, texture and form metal dimensionally using basic metalsmithing tools and techniques. Use a vise or pliers to twist, coil, spiral, or attach wires to your holiday form, incorporating colorful beads for visual detail. Forge 20 gauge brass wire, spiral it, add colorful glass beads, bend it into a decorative hook and your ornament is ready to hang! All materials are provided.

Personalize your holiday gift giving as you wrap gifts in paper that you print yourself. Using acrylic paint, ink and a variety of stamping techniques, create one-of-a-kind, gorgeous gift wrap or gift bags. Learn about step and repeat, pattern and design. Cut images such as trees, stars, snowmen, etc into erasers, potatoes or sponges to produce your stamps, or use leaves and flower petals for printing onto Kraft paper.
