Lauren Becker Downey

Create a 3-dimensional collage where gratitude and your innate creativity will be explored. Collage is the ultimate playground of materials, mediums and synchronicity. Use copies of photographs, images from magazines, trinkets, maps, greeting cards, buttons, cut and torn textured and patterned papers, paint, ink and other mediums to tell your story. You will be reminded of the riches and positive moments in your life. Be amazed at what is possible through this process of allowing and intending, as you experience the flow of creativity. Please bring a cardboard shoe box.

Artist/Instructor Stephanie Clair steps out of the box… er, cube.

newest concrete art

Here is a taste of Stephanie Clair’s newest concrete creations. TOTALLY different from her other style of painting (cubism). In this series she is using textured concrete on board with different layers of stain, oil paint and resins. Stephanie says “It is a breath of fresh air to create something new, using nature. These more abstract, unexpected ideas are just flowin & bubblin within.” She couldn’t wait to share! These paintings will be framed in simple black box frames and will be affordably priced. These exciting new works of art are not yet posted on her website, http://www.stephanieclair.com however, Stephanie will be showing her newest pieces by appointment at her new studio gallery.

Members’ Tuesday Night Studio

If it’s Tuesday, it must be time for Members’ night. Get out of the house and make some art! Work on your project with other creative folks. Look at the mosaic over there! I love what she did with the wooden birdhouse, china, tiles and grout. Very nice…

Tuesday Night Studio is one of the benefits to being a Bravo School of Art member. Other benefits include discounted rates on workshops, opportunity to participate in member-only exhibitions, invitation to member-only events and discounts at various Liberty Station merchants.
